
Introduction
Shoprite (Transpharm) is looking for a Transport Clerk to join its Capetown branch to assist with all administrative duties regarding internal and external deliveries. This position will require assistance with deliveries from to time therefore a driver’s license (EB – Unrestricted) is required.
What the role entails?
- Reconciling of invoices and maintain records.
- Generating and updating daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Monitor and follow up with customers and service providers regarding queries.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties that may arise.
Qualification and Experience
Shoprite is looking for applicants that have matric i.e. grade 12 qualification. Applicants that have Diploma in Transport / Logistics Management / Equivalent will be at an advantage given the nature of the role. Essential requirements to the role are that the applicant must have at least 2 (two) years of admin experience and 2 (two) years of experience working in a similar environment.
Knowledge and Skills
Applicants must display the following the following knowledge and Skills set.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Proficient computer skills (MS excel; Office 365)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fleet planning and administration experience.
- Good understanding of tracking systems such as Mixtelematics.
- Work and perform well under pressure, as well as adapt to changing work requirements and situations.
