Requirements
A Minimum of Grade 10 (authentic School report) or Relevant NQF level 2. A valid code 10 (C1) driver’s license with professional driving permits (PDP) with 5 years driving experience. Working experience in the public service environment will be added advantage, Basic Knowledge of Government Fleet, and transport policies. Excellent time management and ability to adhere to a schedule. Good verbal communication and interpersonal relations, Ability to work in a team. Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles; Patients’ Rights and 6 ministerial priorities. Expected to work shifts (night, weekends, and public holidays) and to rotate. To be able to deliver service under pressure. Ability to handle confidential information.
Roles and Duties
Follow procedures to operate motor vehicles. Obtain trip authorities, complete logbooks of motor vehicles as prescribed by legislation/policy. Inspecting vehicles and report defects for timeous repairs to transport manager. Check levels of fuel, oil, tires, and water of vehicles. Ensure safe transporting of staff and patients to various destinations. Perform messenger functions and routine office support functions as well as registry functions. Assist with loading and offloading of goods. Promote proper handling, safekeeping, and control of vehicles. Expected to carry out any other duty as instructed by the supervisor.

Requirements
A minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. Computer Literate (MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook). Experience in the public service environment at the transport department will be added advantage. Knowledge of Government Fleet, and transport policies. Good interpersonal and communication skills. To possess a valid driver’s licence and be able to drive. Ability to communicate with people at different levels and from different backgrounds. Sound organizational skills. Ability to handle confidential information. Sound verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and be able to rotate to other sections in between the transport offices. Be prepared to work flexi hours, shifts (night, weekends, and public holidays). Be able to deliver service under pressure. Knowledge of Batho Pele principles, Patients’ Rights, including the 06 Ministerial Priorities and ability to interpret and implement them. Be prepared to work abnormal hours.
Roles and Duties
Support and assist with monitoring and management of transport office administrative duties. Assist with completing and managing PMDS of drivers. Support management in the office. Receive and manage trip requests from all service points. Plan and issue out trip authorities. Ensure the proper utilisation and efficient use of the funds. Compile and submit monthly transport reports. Coordinate and assist with breakdowns. Compile accidents reports. Ensure that all vehicles are road worthy and are booked for routine service. Report any misconduct and potential fraud Communicate with government garage. Attend trainings and meetings as approved by the supervisor. Perform all duties as directed by the supervisor
